We have reached the point where Republican voters are dumb as a rock, which is great news for corrupt Republican politicians and the billionaires who bribe them.
Dumb people can be easily manipulated, because they’re too dumb to know when they’re being lied to.
Republican politicians no longer have to do anything to make the lives of working class Americans better. Instead, all they have to do is blame Democrats for everything bad Republicans do. And their voters are too dumb to know that they’re being lied to.
Here’s just one of hundreds of examples:
Republicans tried for years to kill Obamacare during Obama’s time in office, because Obamacare protects pre-existing conditions. That means health insurance companies have to accept you and pay your medical bills, even if you have cancer or diabetes. Which means higher expenses and lower profits for them.
Thanks to Obama, you might take for granted that your medical conditions are being covered by health insurance nowadays. But before Obamacare, health insurance companies could simply kick you out if you got cancer. Or they could refuse to give you insurance in the first place, if you had a medical condition.
Health industry billionaires bribed corrupt Republican politicians to oppose Obama’s plan to cover pre-existing conditions. They called Obama a communist.
But then, during the 2018 midterm elections, Republicans suddenly claimed they were protecting pre-existing conditions, even though they had spent 10 years trying to kill it!
These motherfuckers were blatantly lying! They suddenly claimed to be doing the exact opposite of what they had actually been doing for the past 10 years. Just like that. From one day to the next. And their dumb Republican voters fell for it, as always.

It is not simply the economy, though. It is the relentless attacks on the crisis at the southern border, civil rights, and (of course) reproductive rights that will bring out Trump supporters. Yes, many of them are ignorant and stupid, but many of the people who SHOULD support Biden are simply too "stupid" to recognize the imminent danger of a Trump dictatorship.
One final thought: ReThuglicans keep insisting that Biden is senile and/or otherwise cerebrally incapacitated, but has anyone listened to Trump lately? He grows increasingly incoherent, and this is above and beyond the narcissism, paranoia, and messianic complex that are core parts of his psychological make-up.
